Short Answer:

Yes.  Although, it could be a completely different combination of chemicals, that aren’t properly measured or mixed.

Long Answer:

Propecia is a patented medication. “Generic Propecia “is NOT FDA-approved, and is illegal and unsafe. Generic Propecia , is typically made overseas in countries such as India or China and are illegally shipped into the U.S. Do not take or order “generic Propecia,” as these pills are not safe for consumption.

Propecia is manufactured by Merck. The FDA approved Propecia for the use of treating Male Pattern hair loss in the United States. The exclusive patent rights to manufacture and market Propecia belong to Merck.

“Generic Propecia” is a clone pill usually manufactured in countries like India and China, and is shipped illegally into the U.S. It is illegal for anyone in a foreign country, even a pharmaceutical company, to ship prescription drugs to the U.S. that have not been approved by the FDA. Even if the drug is legally sold in it’s country of origin, it cannot be shipped to and/or sold in the United States.
